HTH basic pool maintenance guide
Official HTH guidance on routine testing, debris removal, filtration and backwashing.
Official resourcePool cleaning is Pool Crew’s core business. We offer weekly, bi-weekly (fortnightly) and monthly pool cleaning, plus major and once-off cleans for pools that need a proper reset. The aim is simple: a clean, balanced, swim-ready pool without the owner having to chase it.
A regular clean is more than removing leaves. We skim the surface, brush walls and steps, vacuum the floor, empty weir and pump baskets, check circulation, backwash or rinse the filter when needed, then test and balance the water. That routine is what prevents a clear pool from drifting into a cloudy or green one. If yours is already green, go straight to our green pool clean-up service.
Choose the schedule that fits the pool: weekly cleaning for pools that need consistent hands-on care, bi-weekly / fortnightly cleaning where conditions allow, or monthly cleaning for lower-use pools that remain stable between visits. We also do major cleans and once-off cleans after holidays, storms, building work, neglect or before a property handover.
Cleaning also tells us when the problem is not chemistry. Weak flow, air in the system or a noisy motor can point to a pool pump problem; persistent cloudiness can point to a filter problem; and unexplained water loss may need pool leak detection. Because the same crew can handle those faults, you do not have to start again with another contractor.

Pool size, surface, shade, trees, usage and equipment all affect how often it should be cleaned.
Weekly, bi-weekly / fortnightly or monthly — plus major and once-off cleans when required.
Skim, brush, vacuum, baskets, filtration checks and water correction in the right order.
A regular route and repeatable process makes it easier to spot changes before they become expensive problems.
Helpful manufacturer information for owners who want to understand the water and equipment between visits.

Official resourceYes. Weekly cleaning is our main recurring service, and we also offer bi-weekly / fortnightly and monthly cleaning where the pool and usage suit that frequency.
Yes. We do once-off and major cleans for neglected pools, pools after storms or building work, holiday properties, handovers and pools that simply need a reset before going onto a regular plan.
That becomes a green-pool recovery rather than a normal maintenance clean. We assess the water, filtration and circulation, treat the algae, clean the pool and then move it onto a normal cleaning schedule once it is stable.
Yes. We handle pump installation and repairs, filter installation and repairs, leak detection and general pool repairs, so the issue can be diagnosed and quoted without sending you elsewhere.
