How The Pool Crew collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are
The Pool Crew, trading as Pool Crew, a swimming pool services business operating in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Eastern Cape. You can reach our information officer at sales@poolcrew.co.za or on 041 583 8044.
What we collect
Only what you give us. When you use the enquiry form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the suburb you are in, the service you are asking about and whatever you write in the message. When you call or message us on WhatsApp we hold the contact details you use.
We do not collect identity numbers, banking details or payment card information through this website.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, quote on the work, arrange visits, and keep a service record for your pool. If we do work for you we keep the job history so the next technician knows what was done last time. We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.
Analytics and cookies
This site currently runs no analytics, advertising or tracking tools of any kind. The only information we hold is what you send us through the enquiry form.
The site itself stores nothing about you in your browser beyond small conveniences such as remembering that you dismissed a notice.
Who we share it with
Nobody, other than the service providers that make the site and our email work — our web host and our mail provider — and only to the extent needed to deliver your message to us. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to other companies for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept for a reasonable period and then deleted. Records of work done are kept for as long as we are required to for tax and warranty purposes.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email sales@poolcrew.co.za and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and enquiries are sent through an authenticated mail server. No system is perfect, but we do not keep more of your information than we need, which is the most effective protection there is.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
